Meet Julia Pimsleur, Scaling Coach
Julia Pimsleur is “Chief Empowerista” at Million Dollar Women, and author of Go Big Now: 8 Mindset Practices to Overcome Any Obstacle and Reach Your Goals and the best-selling Million Dollar Women.
Pimsleur’s work as a scaling coach and mindset expert grew out of the challenges she faced as founder and CEO of Little Pim, the #1 language teaching for young children, one of the few women-led venture capital backed companies in the U.S. She raised over $6M in Angel, and Venture Capital and over $20M philanthropic dollars. Pimsleur speaks and blogs regularly about entrepreneurship, fundraising, and how more women can “go big.”
As the daughter of language teaching pioneer Dr. Paul Pimsleur, she always had a love of teaching and combining creativity with business. In her first career, she was an award-winning documentary filmmaker. Pimsleur is an NLP Master Practitioner Coach, Associate Professor at Parsons/The New School and mother of two teen boys. When Pimsleur is not speaking or coaching, she can be found losing at Scrabble to her older son, running in Central Park or cooking Mediterranean dishes with olives and mixed herbs. She lives in Manhattan, speaks French and Italian and is an avid scuba diver.
